Old Bordenian 1st XI – 4 v Old Williamsonion 1st X1 – 1

Old Bordenians knew this game was a big six pointer and they showed that within the first fifteen seconds of the game, with a David Wherrell finish from close range. The warm weather provided a slow pitch, and this benefited the Old Boys. Williamsonians continually giving up possession, but time and again Old Boys did not capitalise on these chances. Early in the second half, Williamsonians were awarded a penalty stroke and Old Boys went down to ten men. Scores were levelled. With numerous yellow cards for both sides, there was plenty of space on the pitch to move the ball around. Old Boys got their second goal through Paul Stone who drove round the D and nailed it into the opposite corner of the goal. The next goal came shortly after with Alex Campbell driving into the D and hitting a reverse stick shot into the corner. The last goal came from Paul Stone who hit in from close range. Old Boys have another big game this week against Kings and Alleyn.
