M1 v Epsom – 2nd November 2019

Old Bordenian 1st X1 – 2

Epsom – 3

OBHC were unfortunate to be on the end of two late goals again as they were beaten for the first time in over two seasons at Borden Grammar School against a well organised Epsom.  Epsom took the lead after two minutes when a string of errors allowed their forward to have plenty of time before slotting the ball into the bottom corner.  OBHC then started to get to grips with their game and made a number of incisive moves that led to penalty corners.  One of these was converted when Sam Lund scored from a direct strike.  At half-time, and with the torrential rain subsiding, OBHC came out of the blocks fast and gained a 2-1 advantage when Richard Turner scored his eighth goal of the season.  The game ebbed and flowed for the remainder until Epsom hit Old Boys with two late strikes that saw them lose for the second week running.  OBHC travel to Old Georgians next week.
