M1 v Horsham – 14th March 2020

Horsham – 1
Old Bordenian 1 st X1 – 5
Old Bordenians travelled to Horsham knowing that victory would ensure safety in South Premier
East Division 2 and solidify their position in the league that they only joined last year.  Old Boys
started fast knowing that a positive attitude would put Horsham under early pressure.  The deadlock
was broken when Richard Cooper scored a tap in at the back post to make it 1-0.  Old Boys
continued to push but were unable to find the net before half-time.  The half-time team talk was
again positive and there were four more goals scored by Paul Stone (2), Sam Lund and an
outstanding effort from Richard Cooper who lobbed the goalie at the near post.  Although Horsham
got a consolation goal, OBHC earned all three points with a 5-1 win to round off a positive start to
life in South Premier hockey.
