Old Boys started the penultimate game of the season knowing they must win to try to keep relegation at bay.
Both teams started well and end to end hockey ensued. Old Boys had the first of many penalty corners in the
game and a poor injection was recovered well and the ball found Rich Phillips whose reverse strike found the
back of the net. Within two minutes, Sevenoaks had applied pressure and scored. Sevenoaks won their first
penalty corner which was defended well and Old Boys took advantage of their break and forced another short
corner. This was taken well and Justin Hudson struck from the top of the D finding the bottom corner of the
goal. Sevenoaks had three further penalty corners, taking advantage of two, making the score at half-time 2-3.
The second half started with both teams applying pressure but it was Sevenoaks who made the most of their
chances scoring three goals from open play.
