MENS 1ST XI GET VITAL POINT AWAY TO EASTBOURNE IN LATE GOAL THRILLER

The Boys new they had a tough game ahead of them travelling away to Eastbourne who are top of the league and in form. The game start fast with numerous chances being created at both ends but Eastbourne pulled ahead with 2 goals. Seemingly done and dusted with 4 mins to go Old Boys never gave up and fought for every ball applying some aggresive pressure on the opposition who showed signs of cracking which resulted in winning a short corner which was duly scored by Jason Waitt. 2mins left on the clock and counting the boys threw everything at it with an early long aireal pass from Jason Waitt finding Richard Cooper surging down the right who won a short corner just before the umpires blew for full time.  This was it now or never a vital point hanging on this play, Iain Burwood drags out Tom Richford stops Jason Waitt steps up and drag flicks into the bottom right. 2-2 Old Boys come away with a very important point.
