Every year OBHC host and run the Swale U12, U13 & U14 Girls and Boys Development Centre as part the England Hockey Player Pathway.  It’s a chance for all DoB qualifying players (do I qualify? check flyer below) who take a keen interest in hockey to start their journey to potential stardom at county level or even onto international level.

What, where and when is the DC Trial?

The DC Trial is a coaching session which lasts approx 1.5 hours at the end of the session assessments will be made of each player individually and then notified in due course as to whether they have been successful and being offered a place on the full DC course held later in the year usually around September time.

The trial is held @ OBHC, Borden Grammar School (click here for directions) and run by the OBHC DC coaching team.

The trial is normally held around early to mid-June each year and the DC commences around September time and runs for approx. 8 – 10 weeks at a cost of around £85.  To find out more about the DC and the Player Pathway click here.

Who are the coaches?

Currently the coaches that run the DC Trial as well as the DC course are Zoe Golding Lead Coach (L2 qualified) and Josh Mitchell (L1 qualified).  They have been running the DC course for a few years now so know exactly how to get the best out of all the players and get them onto that DC course.  To meet the coaches click here
